From the Ambassador

Greetings from Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Embassy in Brussels was set up in 1973 and ever since then we have been intent in reaching out to European institutions in Brussels, in addition to the host country Belgium and the two countries concurrently accredited from this Mission i.e. - Switzerland and Luxembourg. Aside from the traditional representational functions, we have been undertaking an ever growing role in promoting our national interest in the European institutions and in the these countries. We have, on different occasions, contributed to coordinating common positions of developing countries in pursuing issues of our shared objectives and common concerns.

This modest website offers links to a few locations from which you can learn more about Bangladesh, its friendly people, its vibrant culture, its promises and its potentials. We can provide you information about tourism, unexplored trading and investment opportunities in Bangladesh, our bilateral relations with different countries, the social revolution taking place in our country through poverty alleviation and empowerment of women etc.

In this Mission, we also offer a number of services, including information on travel to Bangladesh, issuance of visa to foreigners and passport and other consular services to Bangladeshi citizens.
